Fishers Of Men

Jesus chose twelve men to teach His message
They would take up His cross, to be His bridge
To give the good news of salvation to all
That each of us are His disciples, it is our call
Do you remember the names of each of these men
Handpicked by Jesus, to be His fishers of Men
There were brothers John and James, brothers Peter and Andrew
Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew
Thaddaeus, whose name was also Judas or Lebbaeus
Simon the Zealot and James, the son of Alphaeus
And finally the betrayer, Judas Iscariot
Each one helped pave the way for the Holy Spirit
These men were blessed to know Jesus first-hand
They followed Him and fulfilled His every command
Including Judas, who had the difficult task
Could any of you have done it, if Jesus were to ask
Without the betrayal, there would be no sacrifice
Then Jesus could not have paid in full, the ultimate price
These men shared with the world, the hope of tomorrow
How a greater good could come, from a moment of sorrow
For Jesus resurrection, was witnessed by them all
Except for Judas, for his crime, he took the fall
They shared their experiences, so that we would know
How much God loves us, and just how far He would go
These men saw what they did to Jesus, yet they still spoke out
That they would put their life on the line, leaves little if no doubt
These men were chosen, as each of us are, by Jesus as well
As a fisher of Men, what witness will you reveal or tell.

Said James

Said James

What good is it, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds
Can such faith save him, will it define if he truly succeeds
Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food
If you send them away, yet unfulfilled, how will you be viewed

Faith by itself, if unaccompanied by action, is dead
Is like leaving your brother, in the cold, yearning to be fed
Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you faith by what I do
You believe that there is one God, well the demons believe that too

As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead
Actions speak louder than words, a quote you have probably heard said
So what does this mean, have you deciphered its’ clue
Let us look at it another way, give you a quick review

Fruits of our spiritual labor, good works, the deeds we perform
What God asks of each of us, He molds us and we truly transform
These are acts that God created us specifically to do
If we fail to complete the task, does it show our true value

When we stand before Jesus, to answer for our mortal ways
Will we be ashamed, or look Him in the eyes yearning for His praise
Faith must be accompanied by good works, is what it comes down to
For by faith we are saved, but by our deeds we will be judged too.

Psalms of Praise

Psalms of Praise

God be merciful to us, bless us, His face shine on us all
May your ways be known on earth, your salvation among us all
May the peoples praise you, Oh God, may all the peoples praise you
May the nations be glad and sing for joy, as we worship you

For you rule the peoples justly and guide the nations on earth
The land will yield its harvest, and God, our God, will know our worth
May the peoples praise you, Oh God, may all the peoples praise you
God will bless us, and all the ends of the earth will fear you

Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth, worship Him with delight
Come before Him with joyful songs, know that the Lord is God, tonight
It is He who made us, we are His, and we are His people
The sheep of His pasture and we are eternally grateful

Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise
Give thanks to Him and praise His name until the end of days
For the Lord is good and His love endures forever
His truth endures through all generations, His truth is the answer

My heart is steadfast, Oh God, I will sing and give praise with all my soul
Be exalted, above the heavens, as your glory fills my soul
May the peoples praise you, Oh God, may all the peoples praise you
May the nations be glad and sing for joy, as we worship you

Path To Salvation

Path To Salvation

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God
Anyone who tells you otherwise, is simply a fraud
For the wages of sin, is death, a debt that everyone must pay
But the gift of God is eternal life, please listen to what I say

Jesus said, unless a man be born again, he cannot see God's kingdom
I am the way, the truth, and the life, a path to righteousness wisdom
No man comes to the Father, but by me, Jesus went on to say
He is telling you, what you must do, don't put it off or delay

If you shall confess with your mouth and believe in your heart, Christ died for you
That God raised Him from the dead, then you shall be saved, it's truly up to you
With the heart man believes, his mouth he confesses, and finds salvation
Whosoever believes in Him, shall not be ashamed, shares with everyone

But now you must live for Him, who died for all and yet rose again
With His death, He paid the ultimate price for all of Man's sin
Behold He stands at the door and knocks, will you answer and let Him in
Do you hear His voice, will you let Him in and find salvation from your sin

With this, you are born again, to serve God, your first priority
Seems like a simple price to pay, to live with God for eternity
But this means, you put God first, in every decision you make
To perform His works, all selfishness from now on you must forsake

Heavenly, Earthly Dream

Heavenly, Earthly Dream

I was given a dream, about being able to fly
I shall tell you this dream, from my mind’s eye
I shared God’s blessings, of healing for the soul
Surprisingly it was to show, what you can control
As I flew around the room, I shared His message
A way for you to escape, sin’s eternal bondage
Seven steps, which will lead you beyond salvation
That’s not meant for some, but for everyone
Believe in God, the one and absolute only
Jesus His only Son, died on the cross, for all to see
Admit that you sin, we all do, and He sees everything
Acknowledge sin is wrong, should go without saying
Know that God forgives you, each time that you ask
Accept that you are forgiven, is a required task
Release yourself, from the bondage of your past sin
He asks that you learn, not to commit it again
You are now free to fly, with purpose in mind
God told me to share this, from my heart, soul, and mind
