A Different Approach

OK, let’s look at a couple things, from a Yet-To-Be-Believer’s, or especially, an Unbeliever’s, point of view, when being approached by a Fellow Believer, about Jesus Christ.  First of all, he/she does NOT wish to be hammered, with Scriptures, from The Holy Bible.  Second of all, he/she does NOT wish to be hammered, with the words, “Religion” or “Believer” or “Christian”, nor any particular “denomination” thereof.  Any mention of these, will close his/her mind and ears, in a heartbeat.  Which is exactly NOT what any of Us (including God Almighty, Jesus Christ, The Holy Spirit, and Fellow Believers), wish to happen, when We want him/her responsive, NOT defensive.

So, how can We, Believers, peak his/her interest, YOU might ask?  Get personal; bring it down to his/her personal level (i.e. personal relationships), something he/she can definitely, well, relate to, huh.  Share with him/her, that God Almighty wants (He yearns to have) a personal relationship with him/her, specifically, so much so, that God Almighty, actually chases him/her, their entire lifetime, until He (God Almighty) succeeds, that’s how much God Almighty Loves him/her!  And when he/she looks surprised or uncertain, tell him/her this . . .  (yes, I know I said no Bible Verses).

“Then God said, ‘Let Us [God Almighty, The Word (Jesus Christ), and The Holy Spirit] make Man, in Our [God Almighty, The Word (Jesus Christ), and The Holy Spirit] Image, according to Our [God Almighty, The Word (Jesus Christ), and The Holy Spirit] Likeness.’” 

So, God Created Man, in His (God Almighty’s) Own Image; in The Image of God, He (God Almighty) Created Him (Man).  And The Lord God, formed Man, of the dust of the ground, and (God Almighty) Breathed into His (Man’s) Nostrils, The Breath of Life (His Spirit, His Soul); and Man became a Living Being (with a Spirit, a Soul).”  Ask him/her, “This was an up close, personal experience, for both, God Almighty and Man (Adam), do YOU agree?”  Next, share with him/her, that Jesus Christ, also wants to have a personal relationship with him/her.  Ask him/her, “This should make YOU feel, very special, does it?”  Now, share with him/her, “Without telling YOU, anything more, God Almighty and Jesus Christ, both have Unconditional Love, specifically, for YOU!  They Love YOU more than YOU can possibly understand or comprehend, but it’s The Truth!”

Share with him/her, “This IS what it’s all about, sounds pretty simple, huh?  What We are talking about, is personal relationships, personal relationships with God Almighty and Jesus Christ, and what YOU do, how YOU handle or deal, with each of these relationships.  YOU were Created to be in God’s Immediate Presence!  YOU were Created to walk with God Almighty, so God Almighty could also walk with YOU, that’s right, with YOU!”

Share with him/her, “However, We have a barrier, between Us and God Almighty, sin.  Please, don’t let this close your ears, because YOU need to hear this.  God Almighty cannot have sin, anywhere in His Presence, so this creates a barrier, between God Almighty and YOU.  Remember, God Almighty has Unconditional Love for YOU, and He wants YOU, to be with Him, in His Presence!  Therefore, God Almighty Created a Way, a Bridge, yes, an opportunity, for YOU to be able to come into His Presence, after all.  The Word, would take human form, and be born into the World, and He would be given the name, Jesus.”

Share with him/her, “Jesus (also called, Jesus Christ) was born knowing full well, His Ultimate Purpose, the end result of His Mortal Life, was to die upon The Cross, for your sin, just so YOU, could be in God’s Immediate Presence, as God intended.  Now, God Almighty requires a Blood Sacrifice, for the Remission (or Cleansing or washing away) of sin.  So, Jesus Christ’s death, upon The Cross, was to pay your sin debt.  God Almighty, made the requirement (the penalty, the payment) of committing a sin, any sin, death!  Therefore, We should die for committing a sin, but if this happens, We still cannot break through the barrier, into God’s Immediate Presence.  Back to Jesus Christ, when Jesus died upon The Cross, He paid your sin debt, in full, pretty cool, huh.  Now, Three Days after Jesus’ death and burial, God Almighty Raised Jesus Christ, Alive, from the Grave, Jesus Christ defeated death, Once and for All!  Jesus Christ paid the sin debt and defeated death, Once for All!  Thereby, Jesus Christ created a bridge, for YOU to cross, so YOU could be in God’s Immediate Presence.  This shows YOU how much Jesus Christ Loves YOU, His Unconditional Love, just for YOU.”

Share with him/her, “What does all this mean YOU are probably thinking.  What does all of this have to do with YOU, right?  Well, I have just shared with YOU, how much God Almighty and Jesus Christ Love YOU, that’s right YOU!  I have also shared with YOU, how much They (God Almighty and Jesus Christ) yearn, for YOU, to be in God’s Immediate Presence, to walk with God and God walk with YOU.  So much so, that by God’s Amazing Saving Grace, God offers YOU, His Free Gift of Salvation.  A free gift, which by your acceptance of this gift, YOU can cross the barrier (between God Almighty and YOU) and be in God’s Immediate Presence.  Now, can YOU see, how these personal relationships, between God Almighty and yourself, and between Jesus Christ and yourself, come together, to form a wonderfully Loving bond, just for YOU?” 

Share with him/her, “YOU are probably wondering, what YOU must do, to accept this free gift, which God Almighty is offering, right?  Well, let me explain it to YOU.  First of all, YOU must admit, YOU are a sinner (We All are), and YOU need Forgiveness, for your sin.  Second, there is nothing YOU can do (NOT enough “good deeds” YOU can perform, nor by being as “good” as YOU possibly can) to earn your way, into God’s Immediate Presence.  YOU must Believe, in your heart, everything about Jesus Christ (Jesus Christ is The Son of God, He lived a sin-free Life, He died upon The Cross for your sins, His Crucifixion, in fact, for All of Mankind’s sin, God Almighty Raised Him, from the grave, Alive, on the Third Day, His Resurrection, and forty days after His Resurrection, Jesus Christ ascended into Heaven, Alive, on Clouds from Heaven, His Ascension, sitting down at The Right Hand of God Almighty, where He still sits Today).  YOU must Repent (that’s turn away from your sinful ways and back toward God Almighty), and ask God Almighty for Forgiveness, for all the sins YOU have committed.  YOU must ask Jesus Christ to come into your heart, to abide within YOU, to take control of your Life (meaning YOU give your Life freely, to Jesus Christ), and thank Jesus, for dying for YOU.  Now, if YOU truly Believe all of this, in your heart, and YOU admitted this (by prayer) to God Almighty, YOU have accepted God’s Free Gift of Salvation!”

Finally, share with him/her, “The Holy Spirit is sent to YOU, this is how Jesus Christ comes to abide within YOU.  The Holy Spirit will be your Teacher, from now on.  YOU have entered into a personal relationship with God Almighty, and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ (through The Holy Spirit), just as God Almighty and Jesus Christ, desired, yearned for, and intended.  YOU have crossed the bridge (the barrier between YOU and God Almighty), built by Jesus Christ, and YOU will be in God’s Immediate Presence, God will walk with YOU and YOU will walk with God!  YOU will be, in God’s Immediate Presence, with Jesus Christ, The Holy Spirit, God’s Holy Angels, and all the rest of The Children of God Almighty, which YOU are now one of (Child of God Almighty), Forever, for Eternity!”

“My next hope for YOU, is that YOU will follow Jesus Christ, in Baptism.  YOU see, your belief in your heart, is your inward expression of accepting God’s Free Gift of Salvation, and following Jesus, in Baptism, is your outward expression of accepting God’s Free Gift of Salvation (in other words, YOU wish for the World to know).”
