Our High Priest, Our ONLY Priest, Jesus Christ

Seeing then that We (Believers) have a Great High Priest (Jesus Christ), Who has Passed through The Heavens, Jesus (Jesus Christ), The Son of God (God Almighty), let Us (Believers) hold fast Our confession.  For We (Believers) do NOT have a High Priest (Jesus Christ) who can NOT sympathize with Our weaknesses, but was in All Points Tempted, as We (Believers) are, yet WITHOUT sin.  Let Us (Believers), therefore Come Boldly to The Throne of Grace, that We (Believers) may Obtain Mercy and find Grace, to help in time of need.

For Every High Priest, taken from among Men, is Appointed for Men, in things pertaining to God (God Almighty), that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins.  He can have compassion on those, who are ignorant and going astray, since he himself is also subject to weakness.  Because of this he is Required as for the People, so also for HIMSELF, to offer sacrifices for sins.  And NO man takes this Honor to himself, but he, who is Called by God (God Almighty), just as Aaron was.

 

So also Christ (Jesus Christ) did NOT Glorify Himself, to become High Priest, but it was He (God Almighty) who said to Him (Jesus Christ): “YOU are My Son, Today I have begotten YOU.”  As He (God Almighty) also says in another place: “YOU are a Priest Forever According to The Order of Melchizedek”; Who, in The Days of His (Jesus Christ’s) Flesh, when He (Jesus Christ) had Offered up prayers and supplications, with vehement cries and tears to Him (God Almighty) Who was able to Save Him (Jesus Christ) from death, and was heard because of His (Jesus Christ’s) Godly Fear, though He (Jesus Christ) was a Son (God Almighty’s One and ONLY Son), yet He (Jesus Christ) learned Obedience, by the things which He (Jesus Christ) Suffered.  And having been Perfected, He (Jesus Christ) became The Author of Eternal Salvation to All (Believers) Who Obey Him (Jesus Christ), Called by God (God Almighty) as High Priest “According to The Order of Melchizedek,” of Whom We (Jesus’ Disciples) have much to say, and hard to explain, since YOU have become dull of hearing.

Therefore, IF Perfection were through The Levitical Priesthood (for under it, the People received The Law), what further need was there that another priest should rise, According to The Order of Melchizedek, and NOT be called according to The Order of Aaron?  For the Priesthood, being changed, of necessity there is also a Change of The Law.  For He (Jesus Christ) of whom These Things are spoken, belongs to another Tribe, from which NO man has Officiated at The Altar.  For it is evident that Our Lord (Jesus Christ) arose from Judah, of which Tribe Moses spoke NOTHING concerning Priesthood.  And it is yet far more evident if, in The Likeness of Melchizedek, there Arises Another Priest (Jesus Christ) Who has Come, NOT according to The Law of a fleshly commandment, but According to The Power of An Endless Life.  For He (God Almighty) Testifies: “YOU (Jesus Christ) are a Priest Forever According to The Order of Melchizedek.”  For on the one hand, there is an Annulling of The Former Commandment, because of its weakness and unprofitableness, for The Law made NOTHING Perfect; on the other hand, there is The Bringing in of a Better Hope, through which We (Believers) draw near to God (God Almighty).

 

And inasmuch as He (Jesus Christ) was NOT made Priest WITHOUT an Oath (for they have become priests without an Oath, but He (Jesus Christ) with an Oath, by Him (God Almighty) who said to Him (Jesus Christ): “The Lord (God Almighty) has Sworn and will NOT relent, ‘YOU (Jesus Christ) are a Priest Forever According to The Order of Melchizedek’”), by so much more Jesus (Jesus Christ) has Become a Surety of a Better Covenant.  Also there were many priests, because they were Prevented by Death, from continuing.  But He (Jesus Christ), because He (Jesus Christ) Continues FOREVER, has an UNCHANGEABLE Priesthood.  Therefore, He (Jesus Christ) is also able to SAVE to The Uttermost, Those (Believers) Who Come to God (God Almighty) through Him (Jesus Christ), since He (Jesus Christ) Always Lives to make Intercession for Them (Believers).  For such a High Priest (Jesus Christ) was fitting for Us (Believers), Who is Holy, Harmless, Undefiled, separate from sinners, and has become Higher than The Heavens; Who does NOT need daily, as those High Priests, to offer up sacrifices, first for His Own sins and then for the People’s, for this He (Jesus Christ) did Once for All, when He (Jesus Christ) Offered up Himself.  For The Law appoints as High Priests, men who have weakness, but The Word of The Oath (of God Almighty), which came after The Law, Appoints The Son (Jesus Christ) Who has been Perfected Forever.

Now this is The Main Point of the things We (Jesus’ Disciples) are saying: We (Believers) have such a High Priest (Jesus Christ), Who is Seated at The Right Hand of The Throne of The Majesty (God Almighty) in The Heavens, a Minister of The Sanctuary and of The True Tabernacle which The Lord (God Almighty) Erected, and NOT man.  For Every High Priest is Appointed to offer both gifts and sacrifices.  Therefore it is necessary that this One (Jesus Christ) also have something to Offer.  For if He (Jesus Christ) were on Earth, He (Jesus Christ) would NOT be a priest, since there are priests who offer the gifts according to The Law; who serve the COPY and Shadow of The Heavenly Things, as Moses was Divinely Instructed, when he (Moses) was about to make The Tabernacle.  For He (God Almighty) said, “See that YOU (Moses) make All Things According to The Pattern Shown YOU on The Mountain.”  But now He (Jesus Christ) has Obtained a More Excellent Ministry, inasmuch as He (Jesus Christ) is also Mediator of a Better Covenant, which was Established on Better Promises.

For if that First Covenant had been Faultless, then NO place would have been sought for a Second.  Because finding fault with them, He (God Almighty) says: “Behold, The Days are Coming, says The Lord (God Almighty), when I (God Almighty) will make a New Covenant with The House of Israel and with The House of Judah, NOT according to The Covenant, that I (God Almighty) made with their fathers, in The Day when I (God Almighty) took them by the hand to lead them out of The Land of Egypt; because they did NOT continue in My Covenant, and I (God Almighty) disregarded them, says The Lord (God Almighty).  For this is The Covenant that I (God Almighty) will make with The House of Israel after Those Days, says The Lord (God Almighty): I (God Almighty) will put My Laws in Their Mind and Write them on Their Hearts; and I (God Almighty) will be Their God, and They shall be My People.  None of them shall teach his neighbor, and none his brother, saying, ‘Know The Lord (God Almighty),’ for All shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them.  For I (God Almighty) will be Merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins, and their lawless deeds I will remember NO more.”  In that He (God Almighty) Says, “A New Covenant,” He (God Almighty) has made The First Obsolete.  Now what is becoming Obsolete and growing old, is ready to Vanish Away.

But Christ (Jesus Christ) came as High Priest of The Good Things to Come, with The Greater and More Perfect Tabernacle NOT made with hands, that is, NOT of This Creation.  NOT with the blood of goats and calves, but with His (Jesus Christ’s) Own Blood, He (Jesus Christ) Entered The Most Holy Place, Once for All, having Obtained Eternal Redemption.  For if the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the unclean, sanctifies for the Purifying of the flesh, how much more, shall The Blood of Christ (Jesus Christ), Who through The Eternal Spirit Offered Himself (Jesus Christ) WITHOUT Spot, to God (God Almighty), Cleanse Your (Believers) Conscience, from dead works, to Serve The Living God (God Almighty)?  And for this reason, He (Jesus Christ) is The Mediator of The New Covenant, by means of death, for The Redemption of the transgressions under The First Covenant, that Those (Believers) Who Are Called, May Receive The Promise of The Eternal Inheritance.

 

For where there is a Testament (Jesus Christ), there MUST also of necessity be The Death of The Testator.  For a Testament is in force AFTER men are dead, since it has NO power, at all, while The Testator Lives.  Therefore NOT even The First Covenant was dedicated without blood.  For when Moses had spoken Every Precept, to All the People, according to The Law, he (Moses) took the blood of calves and goats, with water, scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both The Book itself and All the People, saying, “This is The Blood of The Covenant which God (God Almighty) has Commanded YOU.”  Then likewise he (Moses) sprinkled with blood, both The Tabernacle and All The Vessels of The Ministry.  And according to The Law almost all things are Purified with blood, and without shedding of blood, there is NO Remission.

 

Therefore it was necessary, that the copies of the things in The Heavens, should be Purified with these, but The Heavenly Things Themselves, with Better Sacrifices than these.  For Christ (Jesus Christ) has NOT Entered The Holy Places made with hands, which are copies of The True, but into Heaven itself, now to Appear in The Presence of God (God Almighty) for Us (Believers); NOT that He (Jesus Christ) should Offer Himself (Jesus Christ) often, as the High Priest enters The Most Holy Place every year with blood of another, He (Jesus Christ) then would have had to suffer often, since The Foundation of The World; but now, Once at The End of The Ages, He (Jesus Christ) has Appeared to put away sin, by The Sacrifice of Himself (Jesus Christ).  And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this The Judgment, so Christ (Jesus Christ) was Offered Once, to bear the sins of many.  To Those (Believers) who Eagerly Wait for Him (Jesus Christ), He (Jesus Christ) will Appear a Second Time, apart from sin, for Salvation.

Therefore, when He (Jesus Christ) Came into the World, He (Jesus Christ) said: “Sacrifice and Offering YOU (God Almighty) did NOT Desire, but a Body YOU (God Almighty) have Prepared for Me (Jesus Christ).  In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin, YOU (God Almighty) had NO Pleasure.  Then I (Jesus Christ) said, ‘Behold, I have Come, In The Volume of The Book it is Written of Me, to do Your Will, O God (God Almighty).’”  Previously saying, “Sacrifice and Offering, Burnt Offerings, and Offerings for sin YOU (God Almighty) did NOT Desire, nor had Pleasure in them” (which are offered according to The Law), then He (Jesus Christ) said, “Behold, I have Come to do Your Will, O God (God Almighty).”  He (God Almighty) Takes Away The First, that He (God Almighty) may Establish The Second.  By that (God Almighty’s) Will, We (Believers) have been Sanctified, through The Offering of The Body of Jesus Christ, Once for All.

 

And every priest stands ministering daily and offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can NEVER take away sins.  But this Man (Jesus Christ), after He (Jesus Christ) had Offered One Sacrifice for sins Forever, Sat Down at The Right Hand of God (God Almighty), from that Time waiting till His (Jesus Christ’s) Enemies are made His (Jesus Christ’s) Footstool.  For by One (Jesus Christ’s) Offering, He (Jesus Christ) has Perfected Forever, Those (Believers) who are being Sanctified.  But The Holy Spirit also Witnesses to Us (Believers); for after He (God Almighty) had said before, “This is The Covenant that I (God Almighty) will make with Them (Believers) after Those Days, says The Lord (God Almighty): I (God Almighty) will put My Laws into Their (Believers) Hearts, and in Their (Believers) Minds I (God Almighty) will Write Them (My Laws),” then He (God Almighty) Adds, “Their (Believers) sins and their (Believers) lawless deeds, I (God Almighty) will remember NO more.”  Now where there is Remission of these, there is NO longer an Offering for sin.

 

Therefore, Brethren (Believers), having Boldness to Enter The Holiest, by The Blood of Jesus (Jesus Christ), by a New and Living Way, which He (Jesus Christ) Consecrated for Us (Believers), through The Veil, that is, His (Jesus Christ’s) Flesh, and having a High Priest (Jesus Christ) Over The House of God (God Almighty), let Us (Believers) draw near with a True Heart in Full Assurance of Faith, having Our (Believers) Hearts sprinkled, from an evil conscience, and Our (Believers) Bodies Washed with Pure Water.  Let Us (Believers) hold fast, The Confession of Our (Believers) Hope, WITHOUT wavering, for He (Jesus Christ) Who Promised is Faithful.  And let Us (Believers) consider One Another (Fellow Believers), in order to stir up Love and Good Works, NOT forsaking The Assembling of Ourselves (Fellow Believers) Together, as is the manner of some, but Exhorting One Another (Fellow Believers), and so much the more as YOU (Believers) see The Day Approaching.

But YOU (Believers), do NOT be Called ‘Rabbi’; for One is Your Teacher, The Christ (Jesus Christ), and YOU (Believers) are All Brethren.  Do NOT Call ANYONE on Earth, your father; for One is Your Father, He (God Almighty) Who is in Heaven.  And do NOT be Called Teachers; for One is Your Teacher, The Christ (Jesus Christ).

Fellow Believers, why would God Almighty and for that matter Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, go through ALL THIS, to replace a human priest, with a High Priest (Jesus Christ) Who Lives FOREVER, only to replace Him (Jesus Christ), with a human priest again?  Think about that for a moment.  The Holy Bible, in The Book of Hebrews, Reveals to Us (Believers), everything We (Believers) need to KNOW, about this.  “But He (Jesus Christ), because He (Jesus Christ) Continues FOREVER, has an UNCHANGEABLE Priesthood.  Therefore, He (Jesus Christ) is also able to SAVE to The Uttermost, Those (Believers) Who Come to God (God Almighty), through Him (Jesus Christ), since He (Jesus Christ) Always LIVES to Make Intercession for Them (Believers).” 

Fellow Believers, We (Believers) have God Almighty, Jesus Christ, and The Holy Spirit, between The Three of Them, I pray YOU (Believers) KNOW, since We (Believers) put Our Faith and Our Trust in Them, by acknowledging God’s Amazing Saving Grace AND accepting God’s Free Gift of Salvation, We (Believers) have Everlasting Life.  We (Believers) WILL be in God’s Immediate Presence, with Jesus Christ, The Holy Spirit, God’s Holy Angels, and All the rest of The Children (Fellow Believers) of God Almighty, Forever, for ETERNITY!  Fellow Believers, remember these words, from Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, “YOU shall LOVE The Lord, Your God (God Almighty), with All Your Heart, with All Your Soul, with All Your Mind, and with All Your Strength!”  Amen.
