So, First (Around The 1600’s) They Acknowledged And Accepted The Rationalists Way Of Thinking; That, “Reason Is The Chief Source And Test Of Knowledge!” In Other Words, “I Discover TRUTH, NOT FROM The Holy Bible (Turn Away From The Holy Bible) – BUT, By MY Brain!” NEXT (Around The 1700’s), They Acknowledged And Accepted The Empiricists Way Of Thinking; “Knowledge Comes From MY Experience (By What I Experience – Through MY Five Senses: What I See, Hear, Touch, Taste, And Smell)!” In Other Words, NOT So Much From MY Brain; BUT, From MY Experience (By What I Experience – Through MY Five Senses: What I See, Hear, Touch, Taste, And Smell); i.e., “Being Rational!” And Yes, Many Times The Two (Rationalism And Empiricism) Were Combined! Hence, The Terms “The Age Of Reason”, “The Age Of Enlightenment”, “The Scientific Method”, etc.! THEN, (Around The 1800’s), They Began To Change Their Minds, Yet Again; That Knowledge Comes From, NOT From Man’s Brain, NOR From Man’s Experience; BUT, From Something More; And In Turn, They Began To Turn To Spiritualism (aka The Occult)!
