How and Where, do I find inspiration for my Christian based Poems

I have been writing, Christian based poems, for over 12 years.  This can be deceiving, because it does not mean, I write a poem(s), every single day.  I can say, I have written over 160, which may be a small amount, compared to other Christian Writers.  Since March of 2013, I have been writing quite a bit, writing over 90, so far this year.  I find "inspiration", by reading The Holy Bible.  It might be by reading, a Book, Chapter, or verse, it might be about a subject or an individual.  It might be by hearing a Sunday Sermon, or the subject being studied, in a Sunday School Class. 

It might surprise you to know, I also receive "inspiration", from The Holy Spirit, let me explain.  When I'm sleeping, I might be told something to write, specifically, or a subject, to write about.  When this happens, I have learned, to wake up, and write it down.  Despite the idea, in my head, that I would remember it, when I woke up, I almost never do.  Some may not believe this, but I'm not looking for "conformation", I know where it came from.

Another example, when I was sitting, during this past Sunday's Service, we were standing to pray.  Before I stood up, I stayed seated, because I felt something overwhelming me, and telling me to write some things down.  It felt like I was going to Spiritually burst.  Here is what I was driven to write:

Jesus Loves YOU
God Loves YOU
Your sins are Forgiven
YOU are My Sheep
And no one can take YOU from Me
Believe that I am, The Son of God
Who raised Me, from The Grave
I Ascended to Heaven
To Intercede with The Father
Receive Salvation, Feel Our Love
I Love YOU, Always

Yes, I know, if you are a Believer, as I am, this is nothing new to you, nor is it to me.  But it was strange, that after The Church prayed, it was announced, one of our members, had Cancer, in his hip.  He is in The Air Force, and they are going to transfer him, to San Antonio, Texas, where he will receive treatment.  I couldn't help but wonder, if it was meant for him.  Yet another example, I had written a poem, and it was finished, as far as I knew, but I was awakened, by a dream, to add two more lines. 

The Holy Bible tells us, in Acts 2:17 "Your Young Men, shall see Visions, Your Old Men, shall dream Dreams"

YOU many take from this post, what YOU wish, but the best thing a Christian Writer can do, is to allow "The Holy Spirit" to flow, from their fingertips, after all, they are not our words.  Jesus Christ, thru The Holy Spirit, will give us the words.

I will take YOU, into My Arms, My Embrace

And tell YOU, that I Love YOU, Face-to-Face

I’ll remind YOU, that The Father, God Loves YOU

Your sins are Forgiven, I thought YOU knew

YOU are My Sheep, no one can take YOU, from Me

YOU Believe, I am, The Son of God truly

God raised Me, from The Grave, meaning I’m Alive

Yes, I Ascended into Heaven, Alive

I sit at The Right Hand of God, The Father

To intercede for YOU, with The Father

The Holy Spirit dwells, deep within your Soul

Remove All doubt, The Father, is in control

Embrace Salvation, and feel Our Love flow

I expect great things, from YOU, just so YOU know

Remember, I am always, right by your side

As your Friend, Protector, Counselor, and Guide

I can guarantee, YOU are never alone

I know, you’re use to doing things, on your own

Let’s get to work, there’s so much to be done

The words to this poem, came to me, during Sunday Service yesterday (September 28th, 2014). So, as The Holy Spirit was "flowing thru my fingertips", I quickly wrote them down (note: I have M.S., so I wasn't sure, I would remember them), to put in a poem, after Service, after I got home.

Believe It

 Believe It

Three hundred and sixty-five years, were the days of Enoch

Then he was not, God took him, Forever with God to walk

So he didn’t see death, by Faith, Enoch was whisked away

And he was not found, because God had taken him, that day

Before he was taken, he had this Witness, he pleased God

Noting, without Faith, it is impossible, to please God

For he who comes to God, must Believe that He is Our God

That He’s a Rewarder, of those who actively seek God

Elijah said, as The Lord God lives, before whom I stand

I will surely present myself, to Him Today, as planned

A Chariot of Fire appeared, with horses of fire

Elijah went, by Whirlwind to Heaven, God’s Desire

What do these Men have in common, their Faith, Belief in God

That they were willing, to stand up, for their Faith, I applaud

They walked in Faith, in the Hope, of a future Messiah

The Four Gospels reveal, Jesus Christ, is that Messiah

They also were taken to Heaven, by God’s Hand, it’s true

They were spared, the experience of death, again, it’s true

We walk with God, when We trust Jesus Christ, as Our Savior

By Our Belief, Our Faith, in God and His Son, Our answer

We will All die physically, but will be resurrected

To Eternal Life, to live with Jesus and God, is granted

When a New Heaven, New Earth, and New Jerusalem come

With God and Jesus, Forever, in their Promised Kingdom

No Temple in it, for God and The Lamb, are its Temple

This is beautifully described, in God’s Word, The Bible

Where according to Jesus Christ’s Promise, Righteousness dwells

Second Peter, Revelation twenty-one, which foretells

We walk by Faith, We Believe in God, and His Son, Jesus

Christ died on The Cross, for the sins of every one of Us

His Resurrection, a fact, one We will repeat one day

As a Believer, by my Faith, I chose to walk, God’s Way

For those of Us, who Believe, Our journey, has just begun

That We must truly have Faith, in God’s One and Only Son

God Almighty, will prepare Us, with His Good Works to do

I Believe every single word of this, how about YOU

Enoch and Elijah, are two examples, of how Faith and Belief, in Our Lord God Almighty, can earn YOU a special place in God's Heart.  Our Faith and Belief, in Our Lord God Almighty, and His One and Only Son, Jesus Christ, earns Us, a special place, in God's Heart, as well.  For by Grace, We have been Saved, not by works, lest anyone should boast.  We know, for certain, The Lord God Almighty,  The Great I Am, is The One and Only God of Everything.  We know, for certain, Jesus is The Christ, The Messiah, The Son of Man, The Son of God, The Great Shepherd, The Lamb, Our Lord and Our Savior, and so much more.  Jesus died on The Cross, for All the sins of Mankind.  The Lord God Almighty raised Him, from the Grave, Alive, then Jesus Christ ascended into Heaven, Alive, where He sits at The Right Hand of The Lord God Almighty.  Now, comes the real work, for Us Believers.  We are to use Our Spiritual Gifts, to spread God's Message, His Free Gift of Salvation, with the World.  The Lord God Almighty, has Good Works, for Us to do.  These Good Works were created, especially for YOU, if YOU don't do them, no one will!  By studying His Word, The Word, The Holy Bible, daily, God will reveal more of Himself to each of Us.  

Remember, The Lord God Almighty, will continuously mold and shape, each of Us, to be more like Himself, and less like the rest of Mankind.  We, Believers, are Children of God, which means We give Our Lives to God, through His Son, Jesus Christ.  The Lord God Almighty is Our First Priority.  Performing the Good Works, He created Us for, daily.  Continuously reading The Holy Bible, where The Lord God Almighty will again, reveal more of Himself, to Us.  Who wouldn't want to have that?

May Our God Bless YOU, in His Mighty Way, today, and every day.  Amen.

Using your God-given Spiritual Gifts, as God intended

Once We become Believers in Jesus Christ, and accept God's Free Gift of Salvation, We realize many things.  Spiritual Gifts, are God-given, and meant to be used to Glorify God.  In my case, it was the ability to write, especially poetry.  I have been exclusively writing Christian based poems, for over 10 years.  I also created my own website, to showcase them.  But I also realized I needed to do much more.  I started writing my own style/type of Bible Studies, as well.  Then I decided to start making videos, to post online, of me reading my poems and Bible Studies, etc.  However, I still didn't think it was enough, so I started posting my writings on a website designed exclusively for Christian based writings, FaithWriters.com.  Recently, I started writing Blogs, as well.  Social Media is another option, so I joined many Facebook Groups and Google Plus Groups, as more ways to share, what God has placed upon my heart.  Letting The Holy Spirit flow through my fingertips, makes it easy to write.

Your Spiritual Gifts will not be the same, as others, but are still meant to be used to Glorify God.  My advice is, YOU know what your gifts are, so use them in the best way to Glorify God.  It may not be as evident as writing a Christian poem, article, or book.  It may be in your actions, "actions speak louder, than words", is true, people should see Jesus Christ, in YOU, by what YOU do.  It might be serving or helping, teaching or sharing, "behind the scenes" type of things.

"Sharing" (what others may call "Witnessing") is very important, what is sharing, it's sharing how YOU accepted God's Free Gift of Salvation, and how it changed YOU, and your Life.  It's also telling a "Yet-To-Be-Believer", how they can also accept God's Free Gift of Salvation.  The most important thing, any of Us, can ever do, by helping someone choose Jesus Christ, as their personal Lord and Savior, and have that assurance, that they will join Him, in Heaven, one day.  "Witnessing" simply means, to witness someone accept God's Free Gift of Salvation, God Saves People, not Us, they are Saved by and through The Blood of Jesus Christ, who died on The Cross, for All of Mankind's sin, God raised Him, Alive, from the grave, and after 40 days, Jesus Christ Ascended into Heaven, Alive, where He is still Today.

The way I see it, there are 3 types of people: Believers, Yet-To-Be-Believers, Nonbelievers.  Believers, have already chosen God's Free Gift of Salvation.  Yet-To-Be-Believers, have yet to have accepted God's Free Gift of Salvation, but will.  Nonbelievers, are people who will never accept God's Free Gift of Salvation.  The Holy Bible tells Us, that Jesus Christ, The Great Shepherd, knows His Sheep by name, and His Sheep know His Voice, and when He calls them, they will come to Him.  It's His Command to All of Us, Believers, to share The Gospel, The Word, The Holy Bible, and Jesus Message, with All the World.  When people read The Holy Bible, especially The New Testament, they can read The Words, that Jesus Christ, and His Disciples, want Us to know, and understand.

These are the "Good Works", Believers are to perform, to Glorify God.  That is why realizing Our Spiritual Gifts, and using them for God's Purpose, is so important.  Have YOU ever thought about or considered any of these things, I have discussed?  May Our God Bless YOU, in His Mighty Way, today, and every day.  Amen!

The Lamb’s Book Of Life

What does it take to get your name, in The Lamb’s Book of Life

Accept God’s Free Gift of Salvation, giving God your Life

By The Grace of God, Jesus Christ, Our Lord, The Lamb, was slain

The weight of sin, of All Mankind, We can’t fathom His Pain

Jesus did this willingly, He knew it had to be done

We should expect nothing less, from The Son of Man, God’s Son

God and The Word knew, this was to fulfill All Righteousness

By The Blood of The Lamb, unworthy, We became Righteous

God requires a Blood Sacrifice, for The Remission

The Cleansing of The Spirit, thus washing away Man’s sin

God and Christ, have The Foreknowledge, to know who will Believe

Which is not Predestination, don’t let that thought deceive

Jesus Christ, The Good Shepherd, knows the names of All His Sheep

As We each meet Jesus, Face-to-Face, We can’t help but weep

Clothed in White Garments, We shall Walk, in The Light of The Lord

Praise, Glory, and Honor, Our Love for Our God truly poured

Believe in Jesus Christ, God’s Son, The Word, Our Creator

Have Faith in The Holy Bible, The Key, with The Answer

When YOU become one of His Sheep, YOU pledge to God your Life

Your name is Forever written, in The Lamb’s Book of Life

The Lake Of Fire

The devil, the beast, the false prophet, what will be their fate

Do YOU know, for sure, what yours will be, before it’s too late

They shall be cast, into the lake of fire, and brimstone

Well at least they know, for certain, they will not be alone

Where they All will be tormented, constantly, Forever

There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth, Jesus’ Answer

For All those that offend, and those who practice lawlessness

Yet they were given The Choice, and they chose unrighteousness

Know YOU can be Saved, by no other name, under Heaven

And that’s Jesus Christ, Our Lord and Savior, God’s Only Son

Who died on The Cross, God raised from the grave, He’s Alive

Jesus ascended in a cloud to Heaven, yes, Alive

God makes this clear, His Word, The Holy Bible, must be read

Search The Scriptures, for each and every word, that Jesus said

Our Spirits will continue on, for All Eternity

The question is simple, where will YOU choose, for it to be

Choose any other path, and your destination is clear

Go ahead and deny God’s Son, Jesus Christ, without fear

YOU shall be cast, into the lake of fire, and brimstone

  Well at least YOU know, for certain, YOU will not be alone
